Author Guidelines

PAPER/SHORT PAPER SUBMISSION

Papers are submitted on-line. All submissions, except invited talks, are subject to a blind refereeing process.

 

Short paper submission (Contributed sessions and posters)

To ensure proper evaluation, short papers should be about 4 pages long and describe the substantive problem and the data analyzed, as well as the approach and models used.

Short papers should also include a clear statement of the main results and conclusions and indicate the most important key references.

 

Editorial standards and submission area

The papers/short papers can be submitted using LaTeX or Word editorial standards.

The LaTeX users need to upload a .zip file containing the .tex file, any image files and the .pdf version of the paper in the submission area.

After acceptance of the contributed papers, the Conference Program Committee will confirm the inclusion in the program of the proposed contributed paper sessions.

 

Editorial Standard:

- from 4 to 6 pages for the short papers of contributed sessions and posters

- do not exceed 10 pages for the papers of solicited sessions

- do not exceed 14 pages for the papers of specialized session

- do not exceed 20 pages for the papers of plenary sessions

 

Abstracts

All abstracts should contain not more than 200 words, without references and formula.

 

DEADLINES

- Abstract/Paper: February 7th (extended to February 21st), 2016 (Authors of the posters can submit only the abstracts)

- Authors Notifications: March 25, 2016 - extended to April 5th, 2016

- Final version: April 17, 2016 - extended to April 27th, 2016 PUBLICATIONSa)

 

The Book of Abstracts submitted through the on line system will be printed for the meeting.

 

Proceedings

All the accepted papers and short papers will be published in the SIS2016 Proceedings (pen drive) with ISBN.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
  2. The submission is a zip file including Microsoft Word, RTF, or LaTeX document file format together with the pdf version of the final paper.
  3. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Conference.
  4. If submitting to a peer-reviewed track of the conference, authors' names are removed from submission, with "Author" and year used in the bibliography and footnotes, instead of authors' name, paper title, etc.
  5. If submitting to peer review, all Microsoft Office documents (including Supplementary Files) have been saved by going to File and selecting Save As; clicking Tools (or Options in a Mac); clicking Security; selecting "Remove personal information from file properties on save"; clicking Save.

a) Authors retain copyright over their work, while allowing the conference to place this unpublished work under a Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows others to freely access, use, and share the work, with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and its initial presentation at this conference.
b) Authors are able to waive the terms of the CC license and enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution and subsequent publication of this work (e.g., publish a revised version in a journal, post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial presentation at this conference.
