VADISTAT - Per Simona Balbi Association offers a prize of € 500,00 for the best contribution presented at ITACOSM2023 focusing on the main topic of the conference New Challenges for sample surveys: innovation through tradition.
The award will be given on the basis of a scientific competition among the candidates. The money prize and the certificate of achievement of the ITACOSM2023 “VADISTAT - Per Simona Balbi Award” will be presented to the winning participant at the conference.
ELIGIBILITY
- Candidates must be under the age of 35
- Only candidates submitting an Abstract for ITACOSM2023 and paying the registration fee can apply for the award
- Candidates are eligible to apply for the award for only one Abstract, which must be indicated at the time of submission
- Candidates must be the (co)-author of the Abstract and the presenting author (in person) of the contribution
SELECTION
- Applications must be submitted to the Local Organizing Committee by May 31, 2023, specyfing in the submission process the label VADISTAT AWARD CANDIDATE in the "Comments for Conference Director"
- A panel, formed by a member appointed by the VADISTAT President and two by the ITACOSM2023 Scientific Committee, will assess candidates’ presentations according to the following criteria: (1) novelty, quality and scientific impact of the contribution to the main topic of the Conference; (2) speech accuracy and clarity; (3) presentation attractiveness and distinction; (4) ability to answer questions from the floor
- The decision of the panel is final and incontrovertible. The panel reserves the right not to award the grant
