The venue
The venue of the conference is the main campus of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, located in Largo A. Gemelli, 1 (45°27'47.2"N 9°10'36.3"E).
It is located in the very city centre of Milan, in a historic monastery next to the 10th century church of Sant’Ambrogio. Within a 10-minute walking distance there are the cathedral (Duomo), the opera house (La Scala), and the monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie, with the famous Last Supper mural painting by Leonardo da Vinci.

How to reach the conference venue
From Milan international airports:
- LINATE in about 45 minutes by bus or taxi (please click here for more info). By bus: take line 73 (LINATE – DUOMO) – get off at the stop C.so P.ta VITTORIA – take the tram line 19 (direction Cacciatori delle Alpi) – get off at the stop C.so Magenta via Nirone – walk 400 mt. direction Largo A. Gemelli 1.
- Malpensa in about 30 minutes by train (please click here for more info). Get off at the stop CADORNA FN and walk 1.2 km direction Largo A. Gemelli 1.
- There is also the Milan Bergamo airport, which is base for several low cost companies, at approx. 1h by bus from Milan Central Station FS.
From Central station FS:
- By underground: take the green line (MM2 – Direction Assago/Abbiategrasso) and get off at S.AMBROGIO – UNIVERSITA’ CATTOLICA stop. Walk direction via Lanzone 30/A e/o Largo Gemelli 1.
From other locations in Milan:
- Milan underground network is the fastest way to get to the conference venue (MM1 red line stop “CADORNA”, and MM2 green line stop “S. AMBROGIO”) from most parts of Milan and also to get around the city. For more information on the underground and local public transportation in Milan please click here.
- Bus and tram lines getting around the venue are: 94 (bus), 19, 16, 2 and 14 (tram).
