The hospital reorganization implemented in Puglia arises from the need to adapt the hospital network to the new standards prescribed by national legislation.  Although the reorganization operation does not cut the beds, it is possible to find two situations: patients are forced to go to distant structures from their living place; there is a negative situation in terms of performance, given the increase in workload.The project aims, in a first phase, the determination of new health performance indexes that go to implement those already existing and recognized by the Ministry of Health, but that are specific to the Apulian context. Subsequently, through latent variables, models will be created and elaborated that will both illustrate the current situation but, at the same time, can be used for the improvement of personal services and for a better internal organizational reorganization of the Apulian hospitals.
