Author Guidelines

SUBMISSION

Abstract and short papers are submitted on-line. All submissions, except invited talks, are subject to a blind refereeing process.

Authors are requested to submit in the proper track. Please select "Contributed" for free contributed submissions, "Poster" for poster submissions, or choice the appropriate specialized or solicited session in the list.

Abstracts should contain no more than 200 words, without references and formula.

Short papers should be from 4 to 6 pages long.  They have to describe: the substantive problem and the data analyzed, as well as the approach and models used. They have also to include a clear statement of the main results and conclusions and to indicate the most important key references.

 

EDITORIAL STANDARDS AND SUBMISSION AREA

The short papers can be submitted using LaTeX or Word editorial standards.

The LaTeX users need to upload a .zip file containing the .tex file, any image files and the .pdf version of the paper in the submission area.

After acceptance of the contributed papers, the Conference Program Committee will confirm the inclusion in the program of the proposed contributed paper sessions.

Accepted paper could be uploaded according to the following editorial standards.

 

Editorial standards

- up to 6 pages for the short paper of contributed  and posters sessions

- up to 8 pages for the papers of specialized and solicited sessions

- up to 12 pages for the papers of plenary sessions


Deadlines - NEW

- Abstract and short paper for POSTER SESSION submission : MARCH 25th, 2017

- Abstract and short paper submission: MARCH 10th, 2017

- Authors Notifications: March 31st, 2017

- Final version of accepted contributed papers: April 15th, 2017

- Final version of plenary, specialized and solicited session papers: April 15th, 2017

 

PUBLICATIONS

a) The Book of Abstracts submitted through the on-line system  will be printed for the meeting.

b) Proceedings: all the accepted papers will be published in the SIS2017 Proceedings (Firenze University Press) with ISBN.

c) Post proceedings will be published in a Springer volume.


 

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca) are activated and ready to click.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Conference.
