Object: Call for papers/invitation to the international meeting “Innovation & Society -Statistical evaluation systems at 360°: techniques, technologies and new frontiers (IES2019)” to be held in Rome (Italy), July 4th – 5th, 2019

Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the organizing committee,  we are glad to announce that the 9th Scientific Meeting of the Statistics for the Evaluation and Quality of Services Group of the Italian Statistical Society (SVQS), titled Innovation & Society - Statistical evaluation systems at 360°: techniques, technologies and new frontiers (IES2019), will be held next 4 and 5 July 2019 at the European University of Rome (Rome).

IES2019 is sponsored by the Italian Statistical Society (SIS), the Statistics and Data Science (SDS) and Enhancement of Public Statistics (VSP), the Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) and the European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics (ENBIS). They will actively participate to the scientific committee and organize sessions on selected topics, extending the list of the areas of interest. aims at promoting and coordinating the methodological and applied research related to the statistical evaluation  of both private and public services. Contributions on the development of innovative statistical methodologies as well as empirical applications are welcome. The subject-matter of the contributions cover the following areas (but not limited to):

  • Education, Training and Research
  • Bank
  • Tourism,
  • Transportation
  • Environment
  • Enterprise
  • Industry and Finance
  • Public Administration
  • Justice
  • Sensorial
  • Healthcare
  • Social

We are delighted to have the following keynote speakers:

  • Prof. Francesco Bartolucci (University of Perugia)
  • Prof. Wicher Bergsma (The London School of Economics and Political Science, UK)

::: IES 2019 PAPERS AND SPECIAL ISSUES :::

Authors who wish to present a contribution to the conference are required to send a title by January 27, 2019 and a short paper by March 15, 2019. All contributions will be subject to a “blind refereeing process”.

Book of Short Papers: all the accepted short papers (up to 4 pages) will be published in the IES2019 Proceedings, with ISBN.

Authors of papers presented at IES2019 may submit a full paper for possible publication in a special issue of selected International Journals. Please note that all submitted papers will undergo a regular reviewing process. Full paper should not exceed 8 pages and has to be written according to the style of the Journal.

  • Title and pre-registration: January 27, 2019
  • Short Paper Submission: March 15, 2019
  • Notification to authors: April 24, 2019
  • Final version of contributions accepted: May 15, 2019
