Call for Papers

The GRASPA-SIS biennial conference of the Italian research group for Environmental Statistics will be held on 15-16 July 2019 at the University "G. d’Annunzio" of Chieti-Pescara. GRASPA 2019 is also the 2019 European regional conference of The International Environmetrics Society (TIES).

GRASPA 2019 endorses co-operation among statisticians, academics from environmental sciences as well as practitioners from government and independent environmental agencies creating a space for the exchange of experiences and ideas on various aspects relevant to the protection of the natural environment. GRASPA 2019 is an opportunity to share research interests related to the development and use of statistical methods in environmental sciences, fostering methodological developments and applications in fields such as spatial and spatio-temporal modelling, functional data analysis, directional data, spatial and spatio-temporal sampling and extreme values.

GRASPA 2019 is based on 10 invited specialized sessions with discussion. However, PhD students, post-docs and other researchers working in the field of environmental statistics are all invited to participate at the conference and present their works during the organized poster sessions.

Please, check the program and submit your abstract (up to 2 pages) by choosing the appropriate track within the track list.

Abstract (up to 2 pages) submission for invited talks until May 10, 2019

Contributing authors for Posters

Authors wishing to present a poster are invited to submit a short paper (up to 4 pages), by selecting "POSTERS" track within the track list during the submission process.

Short paper submission until April 21, 2019.

Notification of acceptance of contributed short papers April 30, 2019. The corresponding authors will be informed of the decision on poster presentation by the GRASPA 2019 Scientific Committee via e-mail communication.

 

 

Publishing

The book of abstracts and short papers will be published online with the associated ISSN/ISBN. Extended versions of a selection of contributions presented at the conference GRASPA 2019, including posters, will be published in a special issue of the journal Statistical Methods & Applications, Springer.

Abstracts and short papers must be written in English and must exclusively be sent using the on-line system available at this site. Once you are logged into the system, make sure that the Author box is checked in "My Profile" (topright of the conference page).

Contribution acceptance and publication is conditional upon fees payment.

 

To Upload a File
