Abstract

The aim of the paper is to explore, using social media, the actual organization of wedding day and new meanings of marriage's rite. The texts shared in the last five years, by the members of the main communities (matrimonio.com, amando.it, lemienozze.it, insiemeonline.it, donnamoderna.com, unadonna.it) were collected and analysed. The communities were chosen using the web applications Seozoom and SimilarWeb. The posts collected between December 2016 and January 2017 were 12,000.To extract interesting information for each features of the wedding day, a co-clustering method was used: the factor probabilistic distance (FPD) clustering for frequency data. This method is useful in case of large data sets and it can be applied to reducing the sparsity of a textual matrix.
In this paper, our contributions, are two: (1) extraction and weighting of features of wedding day and (2) evaluation of the method used, comparing it with other co-clustering methods.
