The Conference Innovation & Society 2019 - Statistical Methods for Evaluation and Quality (IES2019) is the 9th Scientific Meeting of the “Statistics for the Evaluation and Quality of Services Group of the Italian Statistical Society - (SVQS)â€. This conference aims
- to shine a light on the main statistical approaches and methodologies for the evaluation, currently in use in different contexts, of public utility services;
- to highlight how statistical thinking, design and analysis play a crucial role in social life and be of use to society in general;
- to foster advanced methodological research supporting the dissemination of ideas related to its fields of interest;
- to contribute to the discussion about the impact of innovative statistical evaluation systems of such services, involving several economic and social policies actors;
- to be a platform where the experts of statistics, data analysis, machine learning and related methods meet to understand and analyse service phenomena with data.
To make it as useful and constructive as possible, the Conference is open to the participation of and confrontation with scholars of other disciplines, experts, responsible managers for development policies dealing with the relationships between evaluation, innovation and society.
